Advertising Guidelines

To maintain a fair, safe, and high-quality platform, all advertisements must adhere to these guidelines. Failure to comply will result in moderation action.

Allowed Content

  • Server promotions with clear branding and purpose.
  • Advertisements for roleplay events, patrols, or training.
  • Recruitment for staff, developers, or department roles.
  • Department-specific server promotions (LEO, Fire, DOT, etc.).
  • Community updates, announcements, and partnerships.

Prohibited Content

  • NSFW, graphic, or inappropriate imagery, language, or themes.
  • Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Scams, phishing links, or misleading promotions.
  • Content related to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or illegal activities.
  • Excessive emoji spam, special characters, or unreadable text.
  • Advertisements for items, services, or games outside of the Roblox/ER:LC ecosystem.

Fair Play & Competitive Conduct

  • No Impersonation: Do not impersonate other groups, ER:LC staff, or notable community figures. This includes using similar logos, names, or branding to mislead users.
  • No Slandering: Ads must not directly attack, slander, or spread unsubstantiated negative claims about other servers or communities. Focus on your own strengths.
  • No Poaching: Ads specifically designed to "poach" or mass-recruit members from another named community are forbidden. General recruitment is allowed.
  • Honest Representation: All claims made in your ad must be truthful and verifiable. Do not advertise features, events, or partnerships that do not exist.

Design & Format

  • All text must be clear, readable, and have sufficient contrast.
  • Images must be high-quality, relevant, and properly scaled.
  • Ads must not mimic official ER:LC staff announcements or UI elements.
  • Do not attempt to bypass rules with hidden text, unicode tricks, or misleading imagery.

Enforcement & Violations

Violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Actions may include ad removal, content warnings, or temporary/permanent suspension from the advertising platform. Repeated or severe violations will result in stricter penalties.
